PARIS St Germain have completed the protracted signing of Mateja Kezman from Fenerbahce, plus all the day's other transfer news.
The Serbia striker has joined the Ligue 1 club on a season-long loan deal, with a view to penning a two-year contract for a reported fee of four million euros next summer.
PSG declared their interest in the 29-year-old last month and Kezman, who was not a first-team regular at Fenerbahce last season, immediately outlined his desire to move to the capital side.
The two clubs agreed terms earlier this month but only on Monday did the player negotiate his release from Fener, now managed by Spain'sEuro 2008-winning coach Luis Aragones.
According to the French media, the hitch is believed to have revolved around the Super Lig outfit wanting Kezman to give back the one million euros signing-on fee he received when he joined the club in 2006.
PSG president Charles Villeneuve revealed Kezman turned down offers from two other European clubs to move to France.
"He had the choice of three clubs - Zenit St Petersburg, Panathinaikos and PSG," Villeneuve said.
"The characteristic of Mateja Kezman is like that of Ludovic Giuly and Claude Makelele, in that he expressed a true desire to come to PSG.
"Taking into account the financial conditions that we are dealing in, he has made enormous sacrifices.
"The negotiations with Mateja were quite easy but they were harder with his club. And those between him and his club lasted a long time."
