The Sky Blues have conceded just 12 goals and have lost one game in the 2016/17 A-League season.

Victory have lost all three Big Blues by a goal this season but actually squandered a 1-0 lead in the first two encounters.

Despite media suggesting Sydney’s defence is impenetrable, Troisi refuses to believe they can’t be broken down. He felt their performance in the 1-0 win over Brisbane Roar in Sunday’s semi-final was an example of how strong they were collectively.

“If you look at all our games we had quite a few opportunities, especially the last game we played Sydney - we just couldn’t take those opportunities so they are vulnerable,” Troisi said.

“We want to be switched on defensively and I think that was one of the most impressive things about the Roar game, defensively we were fantastic.

“Brisbane didn’t cause us too much trouble. With our attacking line, our support of the defence and our midfield, we’re definitely going to create chances.”

And with the Big Blue being a rivalry since the A-League’s inaugural season, the Socceroo wasn’t seeing it that way.

“They’re the two biggest teams in the league, we’re there for a reason,” he said.

“Rivalry… I don’t look at it that way, I look at it as someone’s in our way and we want to win that trophy.

“That’s what we’ll be aiming to do and they’ll look at it the same way so I guess it’ll be the best team or best man on the day.”
