Melbourne Victory star James Troisi says the race for the Premiership trophy is over after the Sky Blues moved 11 points clear at the top of the A-League table on Friday night.
Following Sydney FC's third Big Blue win of the season, Troisi said Victory is now looking to upset the Sky Blues in the grand final.
The harbour-siders are now all but assured of the Premiership trophy after Bobo swept home a second-half winner at a rainy Allianz Stadium.

“We’re not catching them,” Troisi told Fox Sports when asked if the race for the Premiership was still alive.
“They (Sydney) deserve to be where they are and that many points in front.
“Every time we’ve played them (this season) we say we could’ve won and I think we could’ve tonight.
“But that’s the difference. That’s why they’re champions – or that’s why they’re top of the league.
"When you create the number of chances and not put the ball in the back of the net, that’s what you deserve," he said of Victory.
“And we’ll see them (Sydney) in the (grand) final. Anything can happen in the final.”
Troisi seemed at odds with his coach Kevin Muscat who said the premiership race was not done and dusted.
"No it’s not over…but it’s a big mountain to climb," Muscat said post match.
The Victory mentor was incensed that referee Peter Green failed to issue a red card to Michael Zullo after he brought down Marco Rojas on the edge of the area early in the match.
"All in all it was a big decision in my opinion that Peter Green gets wrong," Muscat said.
"Marco’s through on goal, you ask Marco he says he would have caught the ball…he’s the quickest player on the park. So that decision goes against us…like the decision went against us the last time we were here (a missed David Carney handball).
"Two big decisions in two games didn’t go our way and it happens, that’s life. Sooner video comes in the better. Because after nine minutes you can’t tell me that doesn’t change the whole complexion of the game.
"But having said that we were well in the game tonight, we had some good chances in the first half and whilst it was nil-nil. We’ll take some confidence from that. But disappointed to go away with a loss."
Victory had two or three golden chances to score with Besart Berisha in particular missing a sitter in the second half.
The fact that the Big V created chances, and haven’t been beaten easily by Sydney this season, gave Troisi hope of a grand final upset.
“For me, a final’s a final and anything can happen," he said. "Adelaide United could beat Sydney FC in a final.
“We’ll keep working hard,” added the Socceroo, who is in line for a national team recall later this month.
“And keep trying to play the way we play."
