Channel Nine's Today Show presenter Karl Stefanovic went on an epic rant over the shoddy coverage of the World Cup by Optus.
Stefanovic joined the hordes of Australian football fans whose enjoyment of the global spectacle, that comes around just once every four years, has been ruined by unreliable service.
Optus owns the broadcast rights to Russia 2018, with FTA SBS showing all Socceroos matches, match of the day, finals and the tournament decider.
That led Stefanovic to quip if the telecommunications company can't get it right they should let SBS do it...or his "Uncle Rob".
"It's the biggest show in town and instead of watching the World Cup we are watching playback error on our phones," he said before adding, "this is too big a deal to stuff up."
Check out the full tirade here...
“Optus is hopeless…If you can’t get your satellites together then let SBS do it, or Nine, or my uncle Rob who could do a better job hanging a coat hanger from the Edmonton Bowls Club in Far North Queensland. Get it right. This is too big a deal to stuff up.” #9Today pic.twitter.com/q1C2lVG0nS
