FORMER Perth Glory and Roar defender Tyler Simpson was remembered in a silent salute before Blacktown City's game this weekend after the sudden death of the 25 year old late last week.
He was a Blackown City player at the time of his death and he had played a major role in the club’s 2010 title winning side in the NSW Premier League.
Tyler had a twin brother Jordan, 25, who also played in the A-League for Roar and Perth.
Tyler Simpson’s junior career took the defender from Gladesville-Hornsby, A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers and Northern Sprit, along with a stint in the Armenian Premier League with Dinamo-Zenit Yerevan.
One of the tallest players in the A-League at almost two metres tall, Tyler had stints with Glory and Roar between 2005 and 2007.
Funeral details will be announced shortly on Football NSW's website.
