Midfielder Leckie will also miss the Reds' A-League match against Brisbane Roar on Friday night after the tests confirmed a strained hamstring he picked up during last Saturday night's draw with the Central Coast Mariners in Canberra.

"He has strained his left hamstring. He did it during the game on the weekend, and the MRI scan late yesterday afternoon confirmed a strain," Adelaide United Doctor James Ilic said.

"It is not a major strain, more mild to moderate, but any strain still needs to be managed properly."

Unlucky  Leckie has been making his mark with a string of impressive performances for the Reds and was set to play an important role in the Qantas Young Socceroos' qualifiers for the AFC U-19 Championship 2010.

However, with a FIFA Match Day Break following this weekend's Hyundai A-League round of matches, it gives Leckie added time to recover and attempt to be available for the home match against Gold Coast United on Friday, November 20.
