Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has reaffirmed his intention to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Valdes announced during the close-season that he will seek a new challenge in a different country, rather than renewing his existing deal at Camp Nou.
A number of Barcelona players, including midfielder Andres Iniesta, have declared their wish for the Spain international to remain with the Catalan club.
However, the 31-year-old is refusing to reverse his decision, insisting his time with Barca is over.
"My time here is done," Valdes told Spanish TV station Antena3.
"They offered me the chance to renew but my decision had been made.
"I am seeking new challenges. I want to play in another league and be with my family in another place.
"But this season I have still been feeling the love and support of the people and that is greatly appreciated."
Valdes, a graduate of the Barcelona youth system, has won an array of honours with the club, including six La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions League crowns.
