"All the players did a great job out there tonight but players like Emmo, you're going to miss. And I think everyone thinks that in the team," the Italian-based midfielder said.
"He's a great player and I think everyone and I'm sorry it had to happen [his injury]. Six months is a long time to be out.
"But he's a very fit person and one of the best professionals and I know he'll come back."
An exhausted Valeri added after the game that playing on the left hand side of the midfield was a new experience.
"I'm not used to it but sometimes I play that position but on the right side," he said. "I played next to Vinnie [Grella] and in front of Chippers [Scott] but that meant I was playing alongside some of the best players Australia has produced.
"It was a fantastic result. We went out to win but sometimes you've got to be happy with a draw.
"We've still got another four games to go."
