Keynote speakers appearing live will be Brazilian coach Mauricio Marques, currently with Atletico Miniero, Hans Westerhof, current coach of Mexico’s Necaxa and former Czechoslovakia coach at Italia ‘90 Josef Venglos.

Former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann will appear via video link at the conference which will be held at Sydney’s Olympic Park Sports Centre at Homebush Bay.

And in a boost for the A-League, superstar Aussie coach Gary Van Egmond will appear at the conference to shed light on how he masterminded Newcastle Jets’ first ever national title.

Also speaking at the conference will be Jean-Michel Benezet FIFA Head of Technical Development and Erich Rutemölle, German Football Federation Director of Coaching.

Topic areas include age related exercises for junior and youth players, how to prepare players for small-sided games, goal scoring secrets, the future of women’s football, strength and conditioning, sport psychology, nutrition and skill acquisition.

The objective of the conference is to provide further education and development opportunities for coaches both in Australia and overseas.

Coaches operating at all levels of the game will be able to attend and choose practical sessions and lectures that are relevant to their needs and those of their players.
