ROBIN van Persie maintains Arsenal's youngsters must now "get their stuff together" following defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley and secure a positive end to the season.
The Gunners - force to field a makeshift defence - came off second best against Guus Hiddink's experienced side yesterday as they failed to build on a first-half lead taken through Theo Walcott.
However, all is not lost for Arsene Wenger's squad as they seek a first trophy since 2005.
Manchester United await in the semi-finals of the Champions League, while Arsenal travel to Liverpool on Tuesday looking to keep up their fine form in the Barclays Premier League.
Van Persie, who aggravated a groin problem during Sunday's match, sees no reason why the Gunners cannot pick themselves up to finish the campaign in style.
"We still have two targets now - that is the Champions League final and to finish fourth, or even third in the league," the Dutchman said.
"We are disappointed, but we need to get our stuff together and fight for the other two titles.
"We have to play the game against Liverpool on Tuesday now, whether you are happy or if you are not happy.
"It is the Premier League and we need those points, but I am confident because we have strong characters.
"Every experience makes you stronger, a good one and definitely a bad one."
Van Persie insisted: "We have to look game by game, because if you look at the schedule from now until the end of the season, it makes you a bit dizzy because we have big games every three or four days."
As well as missing the likes of defenders William Gallas, Johan Djourou and Gael Clichy through injury, along with Bacary Sagna, who has been laid low by a virus, Arsenal have first-choice keeper Manuel Almunia sidelined because of an ankle problem.
Lukasz Fabianski had been selected for both cup competitions this season, but now finds himself handed a regular run in the side.
The Poland international turned 24 on Sunday, but endured a birthday to forget, as he looked unsure of himself at times with a rash decision to run out of goal proving costly when Didier Drogba netted a late winner for Chelsea.
Wenger accepted Fabianski had not enjoyed "the best of days", but continues to have faith in the young Pole.
Van Persie is in no doubt his team-mate will soon be back in top form.
"Lukasz is a fantastic keeper," Van Persie declared.
"He is really brave and is strong mentally.
"He knows exactly what he wants, so I am not worried about him at all."
