Robin van Persie believes Arsenal are "playing football from a different world" after their 3-0 defeat of Sevilla.
Cesc Fabregas' shot was deflected in by Julien Escude for the opening goal against the Spanish side at Emirates Stadium.
And Fabregas then helped Robin van Persie and Eduardo Da Silva net in the second half for a convincing start to the Gunners' Champions League campaign.
Van Persie told Sky Sports afterwards: "We are playing football from a different world at the moment. It's nothing to do with age, it's about quality."
The Dutch striker continued: "Sevilla play similar to us and have a great squad - but Cesc is in unbelievable form.
"He's playing tremendous football, scoring and providing.
"There has been a lot of change in two years - most of it positive. I'm quite curious about where we will end this season."
Fabregas said team success means more than individual milestones after leading Arsenal to a convincing win.
"Whoever scores - it's good for the team. It's good that we score goals," he told Sky Sports.
"We have to go step-by-step - we are doing that at the moment and it's going well.
"This team is about the future."
Boss Arsene Wenger added on Sky Sports: "We were maybe a bit lucky with the first goal but after that we were in complete control.
"There's belief there, a good understanding - and I want to take care of that.
"You can always improve every area but if the attitude is right and the players want to improve you always have a chance to become better."
Arsenal return to Barclays Premier League action on Saturday and Wenger added: "We've given a lot tonight and it's important to recover quickly.
"We must focus again and be at the same level as tonight. That's the challenge for the team - to play well every three days."
