MAN of the match Robin van Persie hailed Arsenal's team spirit after seeing his side come from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in their Barclays Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge.
The Holland striker bagged two goals in three second-half minutes to seal the win for the Gunners, who had gone behind to a Johan Djourou own goal.
"It was a big win. In the last 20 minutes we showed a lot of character and discipline so the whole team deserve a big compliment," Van Persie told Sky Sports 1.
"When you are playing against Chelsea on their own ground and go 1-0 down, you know it's going to be really difficult. To win the game in the end and the way we did it was great for the team.
"Today is not my day, it's our day. I was the one who scored the two goals but that doesn't really matter. It was the whole squad that did it."
Arsenal have been portrayed as a crisis club in recent weeks after defender William Gallas chose to publicly criticise his team-mates.
Gallas also criticised one un-named 25-year-old Arsenal player for not showing him enough respect. It has been reported that that player is Van Persie, but the Dutchman denied he had a problem with the former Arsenal captain.
Van Persie hugged the France defender after the match and said: "There wasn't a problem at all between (him and Gallas). He's a respectable colleague of mine and a good player."
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his players' strength of character earned them the win.
"It was a fantastic win for the team," he said.
"We have had a bad period in the Premiership and we were 1-0 down today and still won so there's no better test of character.
"I felt that we had more chances than them. They had very few chances. I told the team to keep the pace and last longer than they did and to keep strong."
The win sees the Gunners move up to fourth, but Wenger still believes his side have a lot to do to get themselves back into the title race.
"It was much better (today) but we are still not close enough. We can gain belief after beating Manchester United and now Chelsea away," the Frenchman said.
"That shows we have potential and character. We have now to be humble and come back tomorrow and do our job."
Luiz Felipe Scolari berated the performance of the officials after the match.
Van Persie's first goal appeared to be offside but the goal was allowed to stand, something which clearly infuriated the Chelsea manager.
"They scored the first goal when he (Van Persie) was one metre in front of our players and in the first half Kalou was flagged offside when he wasn't," the Brazilian said.
"We need a refeee that comes to Stamford Bridge who referees for both sides, not just for one."
Scolari admitted he was worried that Chelsea have only picked up one point against the other three teams in the "big four" so far this season.
"Yes, I am not happy (about that)," he said.
"I think we didn't play very well sometimes and we were unlucky the other times."
After achieving only one shot on target all game, Scolari also admitted he was concerned with Chelsea's form in front of goal.
"It's a problem for us," he said.
"In the last three games we have scored only once and we have had only one or two big chances. We do not shoot outside the area enough."
