The A-League has had problems with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), but it doesn't compare to what's going on in Germany's Bundesliga.
Bundesliga referee supervisor Hellmut Krug has been stripped of his role as video assistant referee project manager.
Questions have been raised over manipulation of the VAR, leading to Krug to be demoted to a lower position within the project.
It also means supervisors are no longer permitted to speak to the VAR in charge of matches.
The VAR system in Germany, which was officially implemented in 2017/18, sees officials at a centralised Replay Centre in Cologne in touch with referees throughout matches.
Krug had been accused of influencing two penalty decision in favour of Schalke, who he reportedly supports.
He rejected those accusations, but was still demoted within the DFB.
Fans of the Bundesliga have not taken kindly to the VAR, claiming it takes too long to make decision and the fans in the stadium are unsure of what is going on.
It is basically identical to what is happening in the A-League in Australia, which was the first professional competition in the world to implement the VAR, as well as Italy's Serie A.
