VAR caused massive controversy on Saturday night, as Melbourne City won the Melbourne Derby at Marvel Stadium.
It wouldn't be the Melbourne Derby without some classic controversy, right? VAR returned as Round One of the A-League got underway on Friday night.
With 40,000 in the house at Marvel Stadium on Saturday Night, a deafening chorus of boos began with six minutes left in the first half of the Derby. When Bruno Fornaroli's Melbourne City were awarded a penalty folllowing a 'joke' of aΒ VAR decision, Australia's football fans went into meltdown. Here's the reaction:
