PIM Verbeek is aiming for full throttle by the time Australia face the USA with the Dutchman expecting his players to be at '90 per cent' for the clash against Denmark.
"The Denmark game is for me an extension of the (World Cup) preparation," the Dutchman told the Sunday Mail.
"Normally you should take some energy off the players just before a game - we don't do that, we'll go full.
"For me, the Denmark game is a training session."
Verbeek will expect the dial turned all the way to maximum when the Australians face the USA in their final warm up game.
"It's more important that against USA we have to be 100 per cent," Verbeek said.
"Against Denmark we will probably be around 90 per cent - that's good enough for me."
The coach admitted his team needed to improve on their less than glowing display against New Zealand, pointing to the need for greater organisation and communication.
"But that's why you play friendly matches, so you can improve," he added.
