PIM Verbeek was satisfied despite the Socceroo's 2-1 loss to the Olyroos but concedes his defence is a concern.

“Because this is just a training so this is not about results. But of course if you look at the way they scored goals and the chances we created or not create. The chances we missed that is also part of what I'm doing here.
“But no I don't care if it's 1-0, 1-1 or whatever. I saw 32 players being together in the field and in training. I also explained to the players what I expect from them and the way they are going to play.
Verbeek refused to single out any individual players for special mention. “It's good for a coach to look a player in the eye and find out about the personality of players in the group. I think it was a very fruitful camp so far.”
Both Steve Corica and Simon Colosimo did not take part in the game – which was played in front of media and officials only at Marconi stadium – after picking up minor injuries on the weekend.
Today's camp was the first of three over the next two weeks. However, Verbeek hinted that he wasn't sure if he'd play another practice game next week.
He also ruled out playing an international before the Qatar qualifier on February 6, stating he'd get more out of having training camps than losing training time in order to prepare for a match.
“I may play an 11 vs 11 like today, but you lose around three days of training when you know tomorrow you have to play an Indonesia or whoever in a friendly.”
As for future selections of either A-League or overseas-basded Socceroos, he says, “I always want to keep my options open.”
As Qatar begin preparations today for their date with the Socceroos, Verbeek added that he'd like to have more time with his side.
“For a coach the camp is never long enough. Qatar started today for the February 6 game.”
Qatar has made its national team a priority ahead of their Q-League. National team preparations start today and go through till gameday with the national team having three international friendlies in the next month.
Qatar will face Iran in a friendly on Wednesday and will also take on Syria and Denmark in their warm-up matches before meeting the Australians in Melbourne on February 6.
