HEIDELBERG, coming off consecutive wins for the first time this season, will welcome the struggling Melbourne Knights to Olympic Village on Sunday.

United has recorded victories against Sunshine George Cross and Dandenong Thunder over the last two rounds.

A win for the Bergers will send the Knights sprawling further down the table with much dependant on new striking recruit George Slefendorfas and fellow attacking partners Saso Alexovski and Osagie Ederaro.

The Knights secured a point thanks to a late strike from Frenchman Jean-Charles Dubois at home to the Thunder last week.

Improvement is much-needed and regaining club champion Danny Tiatto in the centre of midfield could be the vital cog to kick start the club.

RICHMOND will travel to Green Gully in search of top spot on the table.

The high-flying Eagles are two points adrift of Oakleigh but have a game in hand after being out of action last week.

Much praise has been heaped on the attacking style of Richmond.

Half of the club's 20 goals this season have been scored in the final half hour.

The Cavaliers are coming off a draw with Hume City; left aggrieved to leave with a point in a game they probably should have won.

Gully looked more dangerous in attack in Broadmeadows, with Mathew Sanders, Gary Wales, Andy Vargas and the resurgent Graham Hockless all proving valuable in the attacking third.

Home form continues to be a concern, with only one win in six appearances at Green Gully Reserve.

ALTONA Magic is in desperate need of a win when it hosts Sunshine George Cross.

The reigning champion had a much-needed week off and need a result to get off the bottom of the table.

They have signed a striker in John Thornley from Western Australia, while fellow signing George Papadopoulos will face his former club on Saturday night.

George Cross has lost two in a row but remain in fifth.

They have only scored one goal in their last three outings, although a solitary goal could be enough against the competition's equal worst attack.

OAKLEIGH Cannons will look to bounce back to the winner's list when it travels to Northcote City.

The Cannons scored two second half goals to gain a point at Bentleigh and won't want to concede twice early against City.

Northcote's finals hopes are still alive, in sixth spot, and also had a week off.

They pinched a point last time out at Hume and if star striker Trent Rixon can fire, City will be hoping to secure another good result at home to Oakleigh.

HUME City is in desperate need of a win after consecutive draws, travelling to Dandenong Thunder on Saturday.

City is unbeaten since been smashed by South Melbourne, but two draws is not idea midway through the season.

Midfielder Ross Thompson might regain a starting berth after a long stint on the sidelines.

The Thunder will feel they dropped a point after conceding a late goal last week.

Improvement has been on the cards this season, but they remain in a titanic relegation battle and will want to take at least a point at home to Hume.

SOUTH Melbourne's Singapore adventure will continue, meaning its round 13 clash with the Bentleigh Greens has been postponed for June 11.
