Where some coaches might not be open to having club bosses tag along, Verbeek has apparently been happy to let Vidmar see how he plots success at international level.
Vidmar told the Adelaide Advertiser: "I appreciate the opportunity. It is fantastic that Pim is open to it. There's probably a lot of coaches out there that wouldn't want something like this to happen, especially with an important game on Wednesday night.
"Pim has been extremely open with me as to what they are going to do against Uzbekistan and why they are going to it."
Vidmar really appreciates Verbeek's no-nonsense approach and his willingness to speak straight and make it abundantly clear what he feels.
"Pim tells it like it is and I think he has a great relationship with all the coaches in the A-League," said the United coach.
