Socceroos midfielder Tom Rogic opened his account for the 2017-18 season with a fine finish in Celtic's 2-0 UEFA Champions League qualifying round win away to Linfield overnight.
Celtic were far too strong for the Northern Ireland champions in Belfast, scoring two goals inside the opening 22 minutes.
Rogic, who gave an early warning with a 12th minute curling effort which was high, made it 2-0 on 22 minutes.
The Australian produced a well-timed left-foot finish from Leigh Griffiths' low corner.
Rogic put in a full shift as Celtic took the advantage in the tie in the qualifying second round.
Elsewhere on Friday, Mustafa Amini played a full game as AGF lost 2-1 at home to Horsens on the opening day of the Danish Superliga season.
Trent Sainsbury was absent from Jiangsu Suning's squad, as speculation continues around his future, with his side drawing 1-1 with Tianjin Teda in China's Super League.
