DARIO Vidosic has become the latest Socceroo to change clubs after sealing a loan switch from German Bundesliga club FC Nurnberg to second tier MSV Duisburg.
The 22-year-old Australian will spend the rest of the season on loan at Duisburg, currently sixth in 2.Bundesliga, having not played a part in Nurnberg's last four fixtures.
Vidosic believes the move, to a club affectionately known as the Zebras, is necessary to enhance his hopes of going to South Africa with the Socceroos later this year.
He told the Courier Mail; "I don't think Pim Verbeek will have too many problems with it.
"He'll be happy that I've gone there to play games and that it's a very good club who are doing very well in the second division.
"The German second division is a very big league with a lot of good teams."
Interestingly, Vidosic did break into the Socceroos team last season whilst playing in the 2.Bundesliga as Nurnberg won promotion.
Now he is hoping regular gametime in Germany's second division will be enough to ensure he is part of Verbeek's plans for the World Cup.
He added: "The excitement's definitely building, but I'm doing my best just to take things day by day.
"Every time I go back to a Socceroos camp I want to be better and I want Pim to see that I'm always getting better.
"As long as we're playing and developing as players, Pim will be happy."
