EUROROOS WRAP: Dario Vidosic boosted his hopes of going to the 2010 World Cup scoring a fine goal in MSV Duisburg's 3-2 loss to SC Paderborn in Germany's 2.Bundesliga overnight.
The 23-year-old Socceroo, who is battling to be part of the 23-man Australia squad for South Africa, drilled in a low shot from the edge of the box which proved too powerful for Paderborn stopper Daniel Mesuch.
The goal, which came in the 87th minute after Vidosic came on as a half-time sub, wasn't enough to save Duisburg who are out of the promotion race.
In Italy's Serie A, Mark Bresciano remained injured on the sidelines as Palermo took a stride towards UEFA Champions qualification beating AC Milan 3-1.

In Croatia's Prva HNL, Josip Skoko started but was replaced at half-time as Hajduk Split defeated NK Karlovac 1-0.

Over to Asia, in Japan's J.League, Eddy Bosnar put in a full shift as Shimizu S-Pulse went top after a 2-1 over Omiya Ardija.
Elsewhere, Matthew Spiranovic was an unused substitute as Urawa Red Diamonds slipped to a 1-0 home loss against Jubilo Iwata. Urawa are now second.
In Korea's K-League, Sasa Ognenovski put in a full shift as Seongnam Ilhwa won 2-0 at Gwangju Sangmu to move into fourth.
