FORMER A-League starlet Dario Vidosic still pines for his days at Queensland Roar as he battles to hold down a place at Nuremburg.
"We'll play well against higher opposition to get some good results, but we just can't seem to get the consistency at the moment," 20-year-old Vidosic said.
Vidosic has struggled to even make the bench in the Bundesliga since joining over the close season.
And he watched on enviously during his recent return Down Under to join the Olyroos as Roar beat Melbourne Victory 1-0.
"I felt a bit of jealousy and felt like I really wanted to be out there as well," he told Brisbane's Courier-Mail.
"But it's very good for the boys. Everything's come along this season and I'd love for them to win the Premiership, get the Grand Final at home and win everything. That would be perfect."
Now he's looking forward to going to the Olympics later this year and hopes to get more game-time with his club to keep himmatch sharp.
"It's always special to say at the end of your career that you went to the Olympics," Vidosic said.
"Hopefully things will go better with Nurnberg in the second half of the season and I get a few more games and then take my Olympic chance.
"Considering the situation the club's in, I'm very happy with how I've progressed."
He added: "There's too much of a pressure situation to drop one of the main starters, one of the bigger players, to put in a youngster like me who is not very well known.
"At the moment, every game's a battle. It's probably not the best spot to be thrown into, but as a footballer you just want to play. It doesn't really bother you.
"I think they're looking out for me a bit. I feel I've developed so much just in six months there.
"The players you train with every day, to learn off them is unbelievable."
