FORMER Socceroo Mark Viduka will break his silence with a rare TV interview on Fox Sports ahead of the weekend’s blockbuster A-League grand final between Melbourne and Sydney.
Viduka - who quit the EPL ten months ago - will appear alongside Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater to talk about his decision to turn his back on club football and the Socceroos this Friday night as part of Fox Sports' coveage ahead of the A-League grand final.
This will be his first in-depth interview since his much publicised exit from the game after his contract with Newcastle United expired at the end of last season.
Murray Shaw, executive producer of Fox Sports football, said: "Football fans worldwide - not just in Australia - have been waiting to hear from Mark Viduka.
"We're delighted to give one of Australia's greatest ever footballers a chance to tell his story, and it's some story."
The Hyundai Matchday Saturday Grand Final Show is live on Fox Sports 3 on Friday night at 7.30pm AEDT - and is repeated again on Saturday at 5pm ahead of the Fox Sports coverage of the expected sell-out A-League Grand Final which kicks off at 7pm.
Other guests on the show are set to include Santo Cilauro and Ian "Dicko" Dickson.
Glory star Naum Sekulovski is also expected to fly into Sydney to reprise his vocal effort on the recent Sing When You're Winning A-League Idol competition and remount his challenge to Shannon Cole for the A-League popstar title.
