MARK Viduka will be backing a Melbourne team from the stands next season but it's bad news for Victory and Heart fans still hoping to see him sign for their respective sides.
Viduka will be Melbourne Knights' number one ticket holder in 2010.
The club announced the news to its fans through social networking site Facebook today.
Melbourne Knights FC "is pleased to confirm that Mark Viduka and family will be the No. 1 ticket holders for the 2010 season."
The 34-year-old made a name for himself at the club in the early to mid 1990s before making a move overseas and spells with the likes of Celtic, Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United.
The undercover grandstand at Knights Stadium was named after Viduka following his departure from the club.
Another boost for the Knights is confirmation that former Brisbane Roar hard man Danny Tiatto has agreed a guest stint with his old club. It will be two games initially with an option to extend.
"We're absolutely rapt," Knights president Ange Cimera told the club's official website. He revealed that Tiatto had signed as an amateur and would play for free.
