MARK Viduka still wants to pull on the green and gold and fire for the Socceroos in South Africa, according to his manager.
The former Newcastle United striker is still weighing up his options after his contract expired at St James's Park and some had questioned whether the player would continue.
But in a report on SBS, the player's manager Steve Kutner says Viduka is far from finished with club football or the Socceroos.
He says that Viduka is determined to continue playing in the English Premier League so as to give himself the best possible chance of being part of Pim Verbeek's squad for South Africa next year
Despite suffering relegation with Newcastle last season, Viduka at least ended the season well. He appeared to have put his injury woes behind him after spending much of the campaign in the treatment room.
Viduka has not played for Australia since the 2007 Asian Cup and recently declined the opportunity to be part of Verbeek's squad for last month's World Cup qualifiers.
He has already been linked with a Greek club as he looks to his next domestic challenge.
