SOCCEROO striker Mark Viduka is waiting to see who lands the Australia coaching job before he decides if he will carry on playing internationally.
He revealed yesterday that he definitely hasn't retired yet - but a final decision on his future will rest on who gets the top job.
"I will wait and see who the new coach is as everything is up in the air at the moment,” he told Newcastle's Evening Chronicle.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do."
Viduka has 53 caps and 11 goals for the Socceroos and he captained the side through the Asian Cup this year.
But he hasn't returned to the green and gold since, missing the Argentina friendly in September and last weekend's match against Nigeria.
“I am going to have a rest this time round," he said before the last game.
He refuted suggestions that he had made up his mind to retire from international football though.
“No I haven’t," he added. "I have not been involved for the past few games and I’m missing this one out."
