NICKY Carle and John Aloisi are in the running to take out the Philips Sports Dad of the Year Award, and they need your votes to ensure a round ball ambassador is victorious.
In its second year, the award highlights 10 elite athletes across a broad range of sporting fields, giving insights into how they juggle fatherhood with their sporting commitments.
Last year's inaugural winner was Wests Tigers premiership winning prop John Skandalis who beat a field that included League legends Brett Kimmorley, Steve Price and Wendell Sailor, AFL superstars Matthew Lloyd, Adam Cooney and Michael O'Loughlin, and the Melbourne Victory's popular goal scoring machine Archie Thompson.
But this year we want a football winner, so get online and register your vote now!
Every person that enters and nominates their favourite Sports Dad has the opportunity to win one of five $5000 Philips Ultimate Father's Day Grooming Packs, including the 7-in-1 Grooming Kit, Turbo Power Clipper, Stubble Trimmer, Senso Touch series shaver and the global phenomenon Ultimate Bodygroomer, - the all in one grooming solution allowing you to shave everywhere.
This nominees include a Who's Who of footballers across all four codes.
The NRL representatives trying to emulate Skandalis' win last year include Eels' legend Nathan Hindmarsh, Storm, Queensland and Kangaroos superstar Cameron Smith and New Zealand World Cup winner Sam Perrett.
Representing the AFL's hopes in the competition are Hawthorn premiership winning captain Sam Mitchell and Sydney Swans popular captain courageous Brett Kirk.
Melbourne Heart's John Aloisi, will represent football alongside Sydney FC marquee Nicky Carle while Wallabies champion Nathan Sharpe, who recently equaled John Eales' record amount of games for Australia as a lock, will carry rugby union's hopes.
Also nominated is International cycling superstar Robbie McEwen, the first Australian to win the green sprint jersey in the Tour de France; and current V8 Supercar series leader James Courtney.
