GREEN GULLY returned to the winner's list with a solid 3-1 win at Bentleigh in round six of the Victorian Premier League.
The Cavaliers, coming off three-straight losses prior to the Easter break, proved too good for a Greens side that finished the match with nine players.
They made a perfect start through striker Gary Wales, who headed home his third goal of the season after 10 minutes.
Left back Steve Burton had slammed a long-range strike into the crossbar before Gully went up 2-0 after 24 minutes.
A long shot from youngster Joshua Groenewald troubled keeper Cliff Henry, who fumbled the ball over the line.
Frustrations got the better of the home side and Denis Alilovic was sent off for kicking out at Jonathan Munoz, reducing the home side to 10.
But, sparked into action, the Greens pulled one back against the run of play through striker Damir Lokvancic.
If things were already difficult, Bentleigh made things harder when Con Anthopoulos was sent off after receiving two red cards in 10 minutes.

Dubois headed home a cross from the lively Kevin Townson for his fourth goal of the season.
As the Cannons pushed for an equaliser, the Knights produced a counter attack and guaranteed all three points in stoppage time.
Josip Magdic unselfishly played the ball through for Jacob Colosimo to apply the simplest of finishes and get the Knights out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.
South Melbourne's farewell to Bob Jane Stadium was brought to an abrupt end with a pitch invasion forcing its 1-1 draw with Heidelberg United to be abandoned.

The referee was forced to call a premature end to the game.
