FORMER Central Coast Mariners goalkeeper Danny Vukovic has been sensationally released by Turkish Super Lig club Konyaspor after joining the club less than two months earlier.
Konyaspor announced the termination of Vukovic's contract on the club's website on Friday, before wishing him success in his life.
The announcement comes as a surprise as only in late June the 25-year-old former Australia youth international had signed a three-year deal with the newly promoted Turkish club.
Today au.fourfourtwo.com contacted Vukovic but the shot-stopper elected not to comment on the matter at this early stage.
It is understood, Konyaspor signed one-time Turkish international goalkeeper Orkun Usak from Manisaspor on Friday, before announcing Vukovic's exit.
