An opener from Rosie Dee-Sutton (16’) and a screamer from Vanessa Di Bernardo (64’) sent Victory to its fourth consecutive loss this season.

Glory, coming off a bye, were overtly physical against a young Victory side to claim their second win of the season.

After Victory first-choice goalkeeper Bianca Henninger picked up a knee injury in last week's 3-0 derby loss, Beth Mason-Jones stepped in for just her second game of her career.

Perth looked switched on from the beginning and could have hit the lead after five minutes when Matilda Sam Kerr’s cut back found Alyssa Mautz, forcing a save from Beth Mason-Jones.

The visitors hit the lead 10 minutes later courtesy of Dee-Sutton after a sizzling volley evaded the young Victory goalkeeper.

Captain Christine Nairn almost replied instantly when her deflected free kick cannoned off the wall and into the crossbar.

Natasha Dowie had Victory’s last chance of the first half 10 minutes later forcing Melissa Maizels to tip a shot over the crossbar.

Kerr had a double on the brink of half-time, as she looked through, the initial chance was saved by Mason-Jones with the follow-up blocked by Sam Johnson.

Maizels had to be substituted off before the break for Gabrielle Dal Busco.

Glory picked up where they started as Dee-Sutton’s cross to Shawn Billam was effective with Mason-Jones to the rescue once again.

They got their second at the 64th minute after a beautifully struck shot from distance evaded Mason-Jones to make it 2-0.

Lia Privitelli almost pulled one back for the home side with 12 minutes remaining as she looked clean through only to be denied by Arianna Romero.

Perth play Sydney FC at Dorrien Gardens next week while Victory take on Western Sydney Wanderers back at Lakeside next Sunday.
