Westfield W-League attracts international players
The Westfield W-League welcomed its latest arrival of international players with Rebecca Smith from New Zealand and Sanna Frostevall from Sweden both making their debut for Newcastle Jets yesterday.
Before joining the Newcastle Jets, Smith and Frostevall played for Swedish team Sunnana SK. The Newcastle Jets pair join the likes of Canadian Brittany Timko (Melbourne Victory), Singaporean Shiya Lim (Perth Glory) and New Zealanders Marlies Oostdam and Rebecca Tegg (Melbourne Victory).
Birthday celebrations
- Elizabeth Sharpe from Newcastle Jets turns 17 on Thursday.
- Melbourne Victory’s Laura Alleway turns 19 on Friday.
- This weekend Stacey Day from Newcastle Jets and Kristi Harvey from Adelaide United both turn 20 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
