Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner admits his midfielder Aaron Mooy has been below par in recent games because of tiredness.
Mooy has had an incredibly heavy schedule in the past 18 months, playing 51 out of a possible 54 games to help the Terriers get promoted last season, and then featuring in 24 of 26 matches in all competitions so far this season.
The Australian has started all of Huddersfield's Premier League games and been a regular for the Socceroos in fixtures around the world as well.
The Yorkshire outfit were beaten 3-0 by Leicester City on January 1, and Mooy has been criticised in some quarters for lacklustre performances this month, compared to his usual high standards.
Huddersfield boss David Wagner conceded that the 27-year-old "wasn't at his best" in last weekend's 4-1 defeat to West Ham.
"Aaron Mooy wasn’t at his best on Saturday but he’s human and he’s played a lot of minutes," he said.
"We’ve tried to bring some freshness into his legs so hopefully that’ll work for the future.
"We know we need him on his best and we will help him be on his best."
