A product of the Wanderers Academy, Baccus will be elevated from the Red & Black’s National Youth Leagueand NPL 2 sides, where he has served as co-captain.

The Kings Park local made three A-League appearances in the 2016/17 season and was a member of the Young Socceroos side that took part in the AFC U19 Championships in Bahrain last October.

Comfortable at both right-back and in the centre of midfield, Baccus will link up with older brother Kearyn, forming what will be the Wanderers’ first-ever A-League brother pairing.

Baccus said he was excited about being given the opportunity by the club.

“It means a lot to be finally be rewarded. I’ve wanted this since I was little,” he said.

“Growing up in Blacktown and now playing for a club like the Wanderers with such a good supporter base, it’s something I’m very grateful for.”
