The departure of Thwaite marks a notable turnaround in the Wanderers' strategy from the former height and experience of a Robbie Cornthwaite / Michael Thwaite duo.

Marquee Cejudo's departure comes after a patchy season, where he showed moments of brilliance but ultimately fell far short of what the Wanderers required.

The versatile Clisby departs after 45 games for the club.

“I am very grateful for my opportunity in Western Sydney; it gave me the opportunity to give something back to the region where it started for me at Marconi and I feel that I have fulfilled that and feel very grateful to have played for Western Sydney Wanderers,” Thwaite said.

“That’s the thing about the culture here is that it is so set. It’s actually beautiful to see that the fans care so much.”
