Following their 5-1 loss at the hands of Melbourne Victory in the FFA Cup Round of 32, Roar suffered another big defeat against a fellow A-League side.

Jaushua Sotirio was in fine form for the Wanderers at Cbus Stadium in the Gold Coast, scoring two and setting up another in the win.

Lachlan Scott opened the scoring for the Wanderers in the 33rd minute despite the Roar having the better of the opening exchanges.

However, the scoring continued for the Wanderers in the second half, with Sotirio's deflected strike finding the back of the net on 48 minutes.

The 21-year-old made it 3-0 just seven minutes later after being played in by the 20-year-old Scott.

Sotirio then turned provider for the Wanderers' fourth goal, with 18-year-old Abraham Majok converting the chance to round out the result.

It means the Roar have now conceded nine goals and scored just one in their two most recent games against A-League opposition in pre-season.
