Neil Warnock has resigned as Sheffield United manager.
Blades plc chairman Kevin McCabe called a press conference for 8pm AET today where Warnock's departure was expected to be announced.
Warnock failed to prevent the club's relegation to the Championship on Sunday when his side were beaten 2-1 by Wigan.
Had Warnock kept his side in the Premiership he would have been offered a reported $1.9 million deal, making him the lowest paid top-flight boss.
That figure was reduced to around $1 million after relegation.
