Recently retired Portuguese footballer Raul Meireles stunned audiences with a dramatic performance on the inaugural episode of the Portuguese 'Lip Sync Battle'.

Dressed in oddly flamboyant attire Meireles put his all into a performance of a famous 1980s Portuguese classic 'O Corpo E Que Paga' (The Body Pays), by Antonio Variacoes.

Meireles showed off his confidence and presence on stage, baring a resemblance to Variacoes sporting a similar large beard.

The retired footballer played for both Liverpool and Chelsea where he won the League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League.

Meireles certainly has been busy during retirement in 2016, running a fashion boutique with his wife and now throwing himself into primetime Portuguese television.
