The video has since gone viral with close to 850,000 views as the supporters and police alike are caught jumping up and down after no flares were found.
It seems the police took the reactions in good faith as the Victory fans began building suspense for the bag-check before erupting in celebration.
One of the officers certainly looked to be getting into the jovial mood, as he appears to join in and add to the atmosphere.
Brilliant.

The celebrations didn't last for Victory fans as they fell to Adelaide United to two early goals in quick succession.
However, Melbourne managed to not lose their second position on the ladder as Sydney FC fell 3-1 to league leaders Perth Glory.
