THANK FIFA14, it's Friday - well, it *was* when EA Sports brought the first Sydney derby of the new season to our very own, umm, car park.

We'd earlier tracked down two hardcore Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers videogame fans to battle it out for bragging rights in a sneak preview of the all-new FIFA14.
Enter Tom Castleton for the Sky Blues and Wanderers’ man Jake Stuart – bitter A-League enemies (well, kind of) but also FIFA-mad gamers
And when EA Sports said they'd bring the game over, they meant everything. From the back of their van spilled the lot - marquee, consoles, bench, TVs, Bunnings garden chairs. We supplied the beer and chips. We're good like that
We'll quickly skate over online editor Kevin Airs and his Barcelona side getting whipped 5-0 by EA Sports' Chris Bowden's Central Coast Mariners (It's just a game, right? Right?? - KA) and skip straight to the main derby event between Jake and Tom.
From the kick-off, chances were few and far between with both keepers pulling off crucial saves going into half-time. The second stanza was a similar story before the game went into extra time. Neither side was willing to make a mistake and, as predicted by FFT editor Aidan Ormond, it went to pens. The Sky Blues held their nerve to win 5-4 in a car park thriller.

Castleton and Stuart played up to the cameras with a performance of cliché gold in the post-match presser.
“The boys put in a good 90 minutes,” said Jake, clearly gutted. “But I thought we may come away with a win in the end but it didn’t pan out for us.
“Their keeper had a screamer. He had a man of the match performance in my opinion. Both sides had their chances but neither side could capitalise.”
Castleton was naturally delighted to have come away with the win after a mammoth arm-wrestle by the two.
“It was fantastic. Like last season’s first derby at Parra Stadium, which we won. I’m just pleased for the boys,” he said. “And in the dressing room, mate, it was just like we’d won the league.”
There were some reports of flares thrown after the game, not that it worried a clearly emotional Stuart.
“Mate, I’m all for it,” he said to the amusement of the assembled press gallery. He’s a natural.
