Sydney FC midfielder Chris Zuvela says his team is feeling confident ahead of the Sydney derby with history on the Sky Blues' side.
Sydney FC and Western Sydney will lock horns at a sold out Bankwest Stadium tomorrow for the first time this season.
Both clubs go into the match unbeaten with two wins from the first two rounds.
The two sides have played each other 22 times since 2012, with the Sky Blues winning 12 encounters and the Wanderers four. Six have been drawn.
Zuvela believes Sydney FC will go into the derby with a positive mindframe.
"The game on the weekend is a very big game," he told FTBL. "History tells us itself we win 90% of the games against the Wanderers, so I feel like we can get out there and get another win under our belt.
"We approach every game like it’s a big game."
Zuvela is still recovering from an ACL injury but is expected back to full fitness the next weeks.
The 22-year-old has been on Sydney FC's books for the past six years and has witnessed the rise of head coach Steve Corica.
Zuvela feels the Sky Blues are in the right hands with the former Socceroo.
"I’ve been under Steve for a very long time, since in the youth team," he said. "He’s a great coach. Anything I need to learn on he’ll pull me aside and tell me what to do.
"He’s like Arnie. In his first season in the A-League to finish second and win the Grand Final, he’s done great things.
"He’s unbelievable as a coach, especially what he was like as a player."
