BRISBANE Roar skipper Matt McKay admits the side is 'hurting' slightly after a tough few weeks but points to a happy habit of continuing to grind out results.
Brisbane have had to fight back to earn late draws in their last two games, most recently in the 1-1 draw with North Queensland Fury.
"We're still grinding out results," Roar skipper Matt McKay told the Courier Mail.
"We didn't play good football against Fury, and at times we were very patchy, but we're still getting results. It shows signs of a very good side.
"Ange just told us to remain positive and stay upbeat, even though we are hurting a little bit."
Injuries and fatigue are also risks amid a busy schedule and Matt Smith is a doubt for tomorrow's clash against struggling Perth Glory.
A lower back injury could see him rested in order to ensure he is able to line up against Central Coast Mariners this weekend.
