WELLINGTON Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert trusts adrenaline will fuel his team's push for the top six tonight although he admits there are some tired bodies in the camp.
Phoenix played at Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday, losing 3-1 to their hosts, and they have had to pick themselves up quickly to welcome Newcastle Jets to Westpac Stadium.
Herbert will not make wholesale changes for the game, even though he admits a few players could probably benefit from a rest.
"The adrenaline will kick in at five to eight and hopefully that fatigue disappears. It needs to," Herbert told the Dominion Post.
"If we're half-pie then we'll probably get nothing, so it's important that we respond, and I'm sure we will."
Goalkeeper Mark Paston will be given every chance to prove his fitness ahead of kick-off. A hip injury forced him off during the early stages of Sunday's defeat in Sydney.
Phoenix are unbeaten at Westpac Stadium in their past 11 matches and three points tonight would lift them into the top six.
