SLOVAKIA will be well prepared for the threat of New Zealand, according to midfielder Vladimir Weiss.
The All Whites are rank outsiders for the World Cup but caught the eye recently with a friendly win over Serbia.
Slovakia, who completed their preparations for the tournament in South Africa with a comfortable win over Costa Rica, begin their campaign when they face the Kiwis in Rustenburg on Tuesday.
Manchester City youngster Weiss, son of coach Vladimir sr, said: "We have seen the New Zealanders play against Serbia, we know what we can expect from them.
"We will obviously try to get all three points. When we play we will build on the work against Costa Rica.
"I believe that the New Zealand match will turn out as we all want."
