Corica told au.fourfourtwo.com that injuries to Juninho and Brendan Santalab has worsened the selection problem currently facing the club, with four players already missing through Socceroo and Olyroo duty.

“We’re alright. Obviously a few boys are going to be missing this week so it’s going to be difficult,” he said.

“There are two with the Socceroos, two with the Olyroos and we have a couple out with injury so it could be a bit of a patch-up team this week.”

Key players Clint Bolton, Mark Milligan, Alex Brosque and Ruben Zadkovich will be missing through international duty. But despite a loss and a draw so far this campaign, Corica insists the team remains confident.

“We’re not worried," he said. "We did expect more points but I think we’ve played well in both games in patches, especially in the second game against Adelaide.

"I thought we deserved more than a draw but that’s football and we’re strong enough get on with it."

Tony Popovic is a chance of playing this weekend, despite suffering a back injury following a mid-game clash with Clint Bolton on Saturday.

Apart from Juninho, who is expected to be out for at least a month, the club hopes all players will be available when they face Wellington Phoenix at home in round four.
