Two teams that don't know the meaning of defence - and from a neutral’s perspective - here’s hoping no one teaches them.
Wellington were the better side all afternoon and thoroughly deserved the 5-2 win at Westpac.
The Phoenix had the attacking impetus from the moment they went behind, but more importantly they had the legs to overrun a disappointing Glory, who faded dismally towards the end.
Andrija Kaluderovic nabbed a brace, Dario Vidosic got his third of the season to open Wellington’s scoring, Goran Paracki slotted a fantastic finish and Guilherme Finkler joined the action as well – it was an all star performance from Wellington’s danger men.

Perth, meanwhile, are in danger. Xavi Torres opened the scoring after Perth were gifted an indirect free kick, and they clawed another through Shane Lowry’s header, but Glory’s forward line were firing blanks.
This was how the first goal in #WELvPER was scored, with Xavi Torres netting his first Hyundai #ALeague goal.

Kenny Lowe can no longer rely on the likes of Central Coast and Newcastle to round off the bottom places, and a thumping at the hands of Wellington sets alarm bells ringing. If Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United can get their act together, Perth may be in for a tough season.
