The centre-back position has been a worry for the Gunners in recent seasons, and reports have suggested Wenger could move for Williams, who has impressed for the south Wales club since they won promotion to the Premier League.

However, Wenger refused to comment on the rumours, insisting Arsenal's game with Norwich is the only thing on his mind and transfer targets will be drawn up after the season is over.

"I cannot stop that (speculation). There is no truth in anything at the moment. We are not at all on the transfer market," he told reporters.

"We are just focusing on our next games. For me, what is important is to have a good team and good players. I cannot say much more than that. That I want to win every game, that is for sure."

While the Frenchman did admit that the Gunners must acquire some new faces in order to strengthen their squad, he was quick to reiterate that he won't be thinking about any new signings until the end of the season.

"What is important is in the summer that we strengthen the team in the right positions, but this is not the moment for me to assess that now," he added.

"That decision will be made in the summer. We have to live and deal with the present. We have a serious job to do, which is to focus on our games."
