The Gunners are attempting to qualify for the quarter-finals of the cup competition for the 10th season running as they travel to the Madejski Stadium for Tuesday's fourth-round clash.

Although he concedes other trophies are prioritised at the Emirates Stadium, Wenger is still hoping his side enjoy success in every competition this term.

"It doesn't mean you should neglect them (less prioritised competitions)," Wenger said.

"Priorities doesn't mean it's not important but you have to go step by step. What we do is try to fight as hard we can to say in all the five and as long we can.

"If you have to make a choice, you make it as late as possible. The Capital One Cup (League Cup) is in a period of the season where you have to make decisions and choices, you have the championship, the Champions League but we want to win of course.

"But I just give a frank and honest opinion about how I think the priorities are, but of course ideally you want to deal well with all the five."

The Frenchman also praised Andrey Arshavin for his contribution in Arsenal's 1-0 win against QPR on Saturday and says the Russian will be involved against Reading.

Arshavin came in for heavy criticism last season after a lacklustre campaign but Wenger says the Russian's attitude and professionalism was unfairly questioned.

"Andrey is a classy player and he will play tomorrow night," Wenger said. "Of course he can play his way back into the first team.

"The competition is open to everyone and Andrey is classy. He has a fantastic attitude, a top professional player and has a great attitude. You can see when he came on, his brightness and his intelligence in the final ball is always fantastic.

"I say that (about Arshavin's attitude) because it has been questioned for him and I don't tolerate that.

" ... Andrey every day comes in and trains well, he's focused and wants to do well. I insist on that because it was questioned and it's completely unjustified."
