Cordier has been in the Wanderers academy system since 2015 and will be on a scholarship contract for the remainder of the season before being promoted to a senior contract in 2019/20.

The Young Socceroo and West Pymble junior has been a stalwart in the Red and Black's Y-League and National Premier League sides.

He made his senior debut for the club in the 2018 FFA Cup Semi Final.

“I’ve been training with the first team for probably a month now and I have played in some of the pre-season friendly games, so I am just really grateful to finally get my first professional contract,” the 19-year-old said.

“In saying that though, I know the hard work starts now. This is the first step in the right direction but I know there’s still a lot of work to do. I’m happy that I’ve got a secure future at the club.

“It’s a big step up and the requirements of a professional footballer aren’t easy but it’s what I love and what I want to do, so I’m really looking forward to keep on doing that at the Wanderers.

“Obviously, I’m excited for the new training facility and the new stadium, and then looking forward to the rest of the Hyundai A-League season and the season to come.

“I just want to help the team in whatever way I can, make sure I’m training at my best and putting myself in contention for the weekend’s game.”
