FourFourTwo has reflected on the 27-round regular season and put forward 11 names for potential winners ahead of the Dolan Warren Awards. Tell us who you think will win?

Milos Ninkovic (Sydney FC)

Milos Ninkovic

The Sky Blues' Serbian midfielder is one of the real favourites for the gong, having contributed nine goals and 11 assists for the premiers. Ninkovic was linked with a move to the Middle East in the off-season but four goals in the first six games set the tone for a dominant campaign.

Marco Rojas (Melbourne Victory)

Marco Rojas

The 2012-13 Johnny Warren medallist was outstanding upon his return to the A-League after a failed stint at Stuttgart. Rojas netted 12 goals and provided 11 assists for the regular season runners-up. Brilliant during the festive period with five goals in five games.

Danny Vukovic (Sydney FC)

Danny Vukovic

One of the unsung heroes for Sydney FC who conceded a record low 12 goals all campaign. Vukovic kept a record high 15 clean sheets. If you think his job was easy due to Sydney's defence, he still made 73 saves, rating equal fifth overall in the league.

Diego Castro (Perth Glory)

Diego Castro

The reigning Johnny Warren medallist was supreme again, scoring 13 goals and supplying seven assists for semi-finalists Perth. Like 2015/16, Castro started slowly but built up with top form late in the campaign, including four goals in Glory's last six regular season games. Topped the league with 70 chances created.

Jamie Maclaren (Brisbane Roar)

Jamie Maclaren

The 23-year-old won the A-League Golden Boot after 19 strikes during the regular season. Only five of those came from the penalty spot. Brisbane were the lowest scoring side in the top five, with Maclaren contributing almost half their goals with their counter-attacking style reliant on him.

Alex Wilkinson (Sydney FC)

Alex Wilkinson

This medal can so often be an attacker's award, but Wilkinson makes a decent case in being the ever-present leader of Sydney's frugal backline. Has played almost every minute of Sydney's season in the centre of defence, with an outstanding 134 clearances.

Besart Berisha (Melbourne Victory)

Besart Berisha

The joint Golden Boot winner nailed 19 goals during the regular season, five from the spot along with four assists. Berisha, who can pop up out of the blue for a winner, is one of the league's most efficient marksmen, taking only 57 shots, compared to Maclaren's 80 and Bruno Fornaroli's 78.

Bruno Fornaroli (Melbourne City)

Bruno Fornaroli

The Uruguayan didn't quite reach last season's heights but he still scored 17 goals for finalists City, although it must be said eight came from the spot. Arguably City's best player although Neil Kilkenny won their top award on Saturday night.

Nico Martinez (Western Sydney Wanderers)

Nico Martinez

Wanderers' midtable finish meant their on-loan marquee probably didn't get the credit he deserved, contributing the equal third most assists in the league with eight. The Argentine also created 47 chances for his side with four goals as well.

Bobo (Sydney FC)

Bobo

The Brazilian striker was the runaway premiers' top scorer with 15 goals, with only three coming from the penalty spot. Bobo proved to be a deft finisher, while he also supplied four assists. Netted eight goals in eight games towards the end of the season, once he'd settled in.

Alan Baro (Melbourne Victory)

Alan Baro

Appears a relative longshot, but the Spanish centre-back was key to Victory's success this term. Statistics never show a defender's worth but Baro's 48 tackles won, 84 interceptions and 139 clearances provide a glimpse of his value.
