The fans are always sure to remember this season for their FA Cup heroics, but after failing to pull out of the drop zone that success will be tinged with a palpable sense of disappointment.
 
The disappointment is also likely to strengthen speculation surrounding Martinez, with the Spanish tactician reportedly being lined up to replace the Manchester United-bound David Moyes at Everton.
